Addiction

Today society doesn’t see addiction as a mental health problem. As a result there is a limited amount of funding to help those who struggle with addiction. This is clearly seen in the downtown eastside of Vancouver. The Ghai foundation seeks to change society’s perspective on addiction, shedding light on recent findings in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and helping raise money to provide a mental health solution for those struggling with addiction. This can be achieved by providing Treatment center scholarships, providing food for those on the street, and creating more places for people to get help. This can also be achieved by educated the general public on addiction as it relates to mental health.

Women & Families

The Ghai Foundation is proud to actively support the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC), recognizing and aligning with their commitment to empowering women and providing essential services guided by a membership-driven approach. Our collaboration is grounded in the shared belief that women are the experts in their own lives, deserving of respect, dignity, and the fundamental rights to safety, autonomy, and well-being.

The Ghai Foundation is dedicated to supporting DEWC’s vision of creating a community where every woman not only receives essential services but also actively participates in shaping the programs that affect her life. Through our collaborative efforts, we aim to contribute to the empowerment, dignity, and well-being of women within the Downtown Eastside community.
